The Sacred of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter has its roots in the celebration of the Passover by the Israelites 12 centuries before Christ. Memorable for the Hebrew means making present in the now the event that took place years ago, not merely in the sense of remembering it, but believing that what happened then happens even now, with the same intensity with which it first occurred.
Jesus teaches and shows His disciples how to serve the mankind. He said we also must serve. St. John 13:12,13,14,15"So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them. Do you know what I have done to you? "You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am."If I then, your lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet."For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you."
Healing miracle of Jesus given in The Holy Bible St.Matt.8:1 "Jesus Cleanses a Leper",5 "Heals a Centurion's Servant" 14 "Peter's Mother- in-Law Healed" 28 "Two Demon-possessed Men Healed" 9:1"Forgives and Heals a Paralytic" 18 "A Girl Restored to Life and a woman Healed" 27 "Two Blind Men Healed”. This shows the compassion of Jesus towards the people and healing every sickness and every disease among them.
Jesus Institutes the Lord's Supper. St. Luke 22:15 "With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer".16 "for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God".17"The He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, "Take this and divide it among yourselves;.18"for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."19"And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you, do this in remembrance of Me."20" Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you."
He sacrifice His life for the sake of people whom he loves. St. John 3:16"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."Crucifixion shows the deliverance from the slavery, passing over from one form of existence to another, crossing over and making it to the other side against all odds, are all a reminder of presence of the same power that allows the event to be repeated.
He is Risen.St.Matt.28:2"And behold, there was great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it." 3 "His countenance was like lighting and his clothing as white as snow."
Easter is a celebration of deliverance from enslavement to the ego, passing over from the 'death of self ‘to the new life of the true self. Easter is the assurance that we will make it to the other side.
Easter comes to us as God's gift in the person of Jesus who exercises the fullness of Divine Power by healing at all levels physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual. Christian believes that Resurrection of Jesus makes us partakers of that every power. First of all by healing ourselves and then making this starting point of healing all around us.
Jesus Appears to His Disciples after resurrection. Mark 16:15 And He said to them "Go in to all the world and preach the gospel to every creature". They lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
